The man of your dreams has popped the question and your now planning your special day. Whether you are yet to pick your venue or you have locked a location in this article will give you some insight into planning another element of your special day. Styling and theming certainly sets the atmosphere for your ceremony & reception venue, and with so many choices many brides can feel overwhelmed with decisions. So we decided to help all the brides to be out there by getting all the theming low down from a local styling professionals. We recently caught up with one of our main venue stylists First Class Functions to talk all things décor and weddings. Here are some hints and ideas on this years wedding trends, popular ceremony locations in Noosa & tips on outdoor ceremonies.
What will be the upcoming theming trends for 2016 be?
Believe it or not, home styling trends actually play a big part in influencing wedding themes! This year, there are 3 major looks which are influencing design choices for brides and grooms:
Industrial: think raw timber, wrought iron, and unique structured pieces.
Boho: ethereal design with lots of feathers, floaty fabrics, macrame and natural fibres.
Luxe: rose gold and copper are hot this year! Teamed with statement lighting and marble accents and the look is one of pure elegance.
How far out from your wedding should brides start considering theming options?
Each wedding is unique and whilst there are clear wedding trends that stay popular for a long time, couples tend to want to put their own stamp on things. Having an idea of the style you’re after is important from the beginning of your planning to try and keep your look cohesive, however you don’t really need to lock in the actual theming of the event until much closer to the big day. This allows for new season stock to arrive and avoids ‘wedding theme fatigue’ (that’s a real thing!)
What is your favourite ceremony location in Noosa?
We are so lucky to have some of the most beautiful natural ceremony sites in the world (why else do you think we get so many destination brides!). Beachfront sites off Hastings Street will always be a winner, but for something unique, why not consider a pretty garden or somewhere with a spectacular river view.
What is the average cost for a ceremony setup?
Ceremony prices can vary widely depending on guest numbers, flowers and decor choices but our most popular ‘all inclusive’ ceremony packages start from $600.00. Just add your celebrant and go!
What are your outdoor wedding ceremony tips?
Respect your environment. What’s the point of getting married outdoors if you don’t work with the aesthetics of nature? Our team are environmentally friendly and will make sure that your ceremony site is restored to its natural state once the deed is done! Also we always recommend having a wet weather back up just in case of inclement weather. Noosa Boathouse is a perfect option in that you can have your ceremony indoors if the weather is bad.
First Class Functions can look after your ceremony & reception styling, wedding planning & floral designs.
