Annie's Books - Peregian presents this special literary dinner with chef and author of The Cooks Companion - Stephanie Alexander. She joins chef Matt Golinski to celebrate the launch of The Cooks Companion anniversary edition.
The Cook’s Companion is a staple in most home kitchens across the country: a beloved culinary bible that has taught generations how to cook and transformed the weeknight menus of everyday Australians since it was first released in 1996. In 2026, to celebrate 30 years of this iconic book, Stephanie Alexander has added over 90 new or newly revised recipes as well as doing a full update of the introduction, ingredients, equipment and a new 'how to use this book' section.
Hear from Alexander on her philosophies around food, cooking and pleasure, enjoy tales of her remarkable career. You will be amongst the first to discover the anniversary edition of The Cook’s Companion over a meal to be remembered curated by Noosa Boathouse chef Shane Bailey.
